Residual Life Assessment

IRC has been engaged in the study of equipment residual life assessment technology with the aim of extending the service life of Boiler Equipment and the intervals between periodic inspections. The main cause of boiler damage is the deterioration of materials induced by creep. In the light of the high renewal cost, large diameter pipes (main steam pipes and high temperature reheat steam pipes), pipe headers and evaporation tubes are important parts subject to residual life.

IRC have had experience of carrying out Residual Life Assessment for over a decade now. We have carried out successful Residual Life Assessment studies for various equipments like Boilers, Turbines, Generators, DM Plants, CHP etc.

Statutory Inspection of Bullets & Horton Spheres under SMPV Rule 18, 19 & 33.

We have been awarded and recognized as the Competent Persons approved by Chief Controller of Explosives (CCOE), Nagpur under SMPV Rule 18, 19 & 33 for Testing, Inspection & Certification of Bullets/ Horton Spheres or any type of Pressure Vessels.

THIRD PARTY INSPECTION

IRC Engineering Services India Pvt. Ltd. is certified as “Third Party Inspector” by the CHIEF CONTROLLER OF EXPLOSIVES (Department of Explosives, Govt. of India) and we are accepted as Surveyor for carrying out Third Party Inspection under rule 19 of SMPV (U) Rules, 1981. According to this certificate we are carrying out the stage wise inspection of various pressure vessels including spheres and bullets etc.

The scope of work consists of Providing professional services for third party inspection for quality assurance of structural steel work fabrication at workshop/ site, its trial assembly, painting, erection at site etc, Sampling, inspecting and witnessing of all related inspection tests including radiographic, ultrasonic testing of welded joints as per Quality Assurance Manual.
